I was better again, I had been there by ten months. My hut was destroyed, and I needed to find raw material to built another hut. I started by following the river. Further on I came into a woodland which had lots of fruit, like oranges, lemon and lime trees . My exploration lasted three days. I slept on a tree and then I returned home. I took some fruit with me to use like food. I built a new hut, and I planted some rice and corn.
It was the end of December, and I was ready to pick up my corn and my rice and to replant it. I improvised a pot, just for cook , but I was really happy. But a thing was troubling me. I couldn't stop thinking about that land that I've seen in the other side of the island.
But , at first , I went on exploring the island to know where I was, how I could escape the island, and then I had a good idea; I decided to make a canoe, to escape from there. I spent a long time preparing it, but when I tried to put it into the water, it was too heavy.I made a new canoe, smaller than the first one .I took some food, my gun and two coats, but I waited some days because the wheather was bad and put my boat on the sea. But I couldn't go on my travel. I caught some goats and tamed them .One day I felt very frightened because I saw some footprints .I passed three days in my hut. To make myself safe I built another wall around my hut and planted a lot of trees too. Two years later I saw a boat some miles away in the sea.It was the cannibals.I found a cave and put my gunpowder and my guns in that.I was frightened because there were cannibals in the island. I thought that if I save the life of the cannibal who was going to be killed , he could help me getting out of the island . Now I needed to make it , like I made. The cannibal who I saved wanted to be my slave because he kissed the ground by my feet . I called him Friday because that was the day when I save his life . I became very angry with him when he wanted to eat tow cannibals that were buried in the sand .I didn't want to send back to his country because there weren't the Christian religion was not accepted by the citizens .Friday called me to see something. When I saw it ,I could see , there was a boat I tought that was European ship . I felt like a king when I saw there was people in my island.
